USA Today Says, "Why Didn't They Think Of This Sooner!"

In a November 12, 1996 article on the annual SEMA aftermarket auto show, USA Today picked BOB as one of three "Why didn't they think of this sooner" category picks. Out of 1200 exhibitors, many of which were multi-million dollar, multi-national companies such as Ford, GM, Chrysler, Holley, Edelbrock, and others, USA Today recognized our new tool as one of the top products at the show! Here's what they had to say:

Auto accessorizing shifts into overdrive

"Last week here, vendors for 1,200 companies greeted 70,000 folks who peddle goods in the lucrative realm ($18 billion annually) of automotive add-ons, a.k.a. aftermarket parts...

And in the 'why didn't they think of this sooner' category:...Bottom of the Bottle (800-458-3475) is a $7 plastic stand that allows five 'empty' bottles of oil to fully drain into one. You wouldn't think it would take a rocket scientist to invent this, but it did.

Gerard Forgnone traded Atlas rockets for a chance to honor his late father, a former service station owner. 'We call it BOB (Bottom Of the Bottle) because that was his name,' he says, whipping out a photo of Bob's headstone.

He says 53 million Americans change their own oil and the oil not drained from those bottles 'represents a few Exxon Valdez spills a year.'

By the way, here's the photo

Pop's Headstone

The reason I showed the photo to Marco is that many people came up to our booth at the SEMA show wanting to know "Where's Bob?" When I told them he was dead, they didn't believe me.

So, I had to show them some proof.
